Following the departure of Renee Young from the WWE, the likes of Kayla Braxton and Cathy Kelley took over the charges from her. Although the latter did head for a hiatus for a couple of years in 2020, she’s now back onboard in the company under his favorite Triple H-regime from last year onward.

It was during last year’s Draft in October that Cathy Kelley was rehired by the WWE as a regular broadcaster on television. It was in that same month that she accidentally suffered a wardrobe malfunction in public. In a video that roams around the internet, the gorgeous WWE on-screen personality was playing golf when her skirt blew up dangerously to expose a little more than expected.

These days, over on Monday Night Raw, Samantha Irvine is the ring announcer while Cathey Kelley and Byron Saxton conduct onscreen interviews with Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves serving as commentators. Michael Cole has been attached to the group following Summerslam 2023.

Cathy Kelley originally joined WWE in February 2016 as part of the company’s digital media team. She became a regular face on WWE programming, primarily for her roles as a backstage interviewer, and social media correspondent. She was mainly given the duties of hosting WWE Now episodes on YouTube and then conducting interviews on NXT. Since her first departure in 2020, McKenzie Mitchelle has been handed those duties.

Cathy Kelley felt comfortable about a WWE return under the Triple H-regime

While speaking about her WWE return in the fall of 20222, Cathy Kelley recently mentioned how things fall in place for a new deal signing. It was an easy decision for her to return to work with Triple H and Stephanie in charge. Additionally, she also revealed a birthday text to Hunter that induced things for her comeback.

“[Stephanie] was like, ‘Do you want to come back as a writer, do you want to come back as a liaison to the WWE community and do a lot of the events like going to different food kitchens or the boys and girls club.’”

“They made it very clear that the door was always open and then, [it] just kind of happened,” Cathy Kelley remembered on The Big Thing podcast. “I remember I just sent him a birthday text and that’s sort of what snowballed everything for me coming back.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
