One of the top ongoing feuds on WWE Raw will culminate in the first semifinal match of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament. Next week, the flagship show of the WWE emanates from Toronto and the raucous crowd will get to see a match featuring the top female superstars of the red brand.
The fresh team of Alexa Bliss and Asuka advanced to the semifinals of the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament with a win over Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop on this week’s WWE Raw. Bliss DDT-ed Doudrop on the mat and tagged in Asuka who made the superstar tap out with the Asuka Lock submission hold.

With this win, Bliss and Asuka advanced to face the team of Dakota Kai and IYO SKY and the match has been announced for the August 22 episode of WWE Raw. Tag Team Tourney to continue through WWE Raw and Smackdown
It should be noted that the above-mentioned teams reside on the left side of the tournament. From the right side of the bracket, Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah defeated Shotzi and Xia Li to advance to the semis on WWE Smackdown. This week, NXT’s Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark will face Natalya and Sonya Deville on Friday Night to capture the remaining spot in the semis.
The semifinal contest confirmed for next week is going to be a big match featuring the recently formed trio of Bayley, Kai, and SKY, who have been targeting WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. Bayley, Kai, and SKY returned to WWE TV as a unit at Summerslam following Belair’s successful title defense against Becky Lynch.
Then two nights later during the post-Summerslam edition of WWE Raw, Bayley, Kai, and SKY took out Becky Lynch who was already injured at Summerslam. Belair and SKY faced off in a one-on-one match which was interrupted by the heel trio. After it ended in a no contest, Asuka and Bliss came to Belair’s aid and featured in a massive brawl all over the ringside. The two trios are currently booked to collide in a six-woman tag team match for next month’s Clash at the Castle event.
