One of the biggest news coming out of this week’s WWE Raw was the return of Dolph Ziggler in a new babyface role. No Robert Roode was spotted by his side, either, hinting that he might be going solo on the roster from now onward. At the same time, he also started a new feud with an emerging WWE Superstar.
During WWE Raw, Ziggler walked down the ramp during the main event match where the lineup was Bobby Lashley and Riddle vs. Theory and Seth Rollins. Ziggler was sitting in a chair at ringside during the bout as many wondered what he was doing there in the first place.

As the match approached its conclusion, Theory rolled Riddle up with a schoolboy pin and put his feet on the bottom rope for extra leverage. This is when Ziggler jumped up to his feet and pushed Theory’s feet to avoid any kind of cheating during the match. Theory looked on at Ziggler in disbelief while Riddle came from behind to nail a distracted Theory with an RKO for the pin to win.

WWE Raw would then go off the air with Ziggler coming into the ring after the match putting Theory down with a stiff superkick to the face amid huge cheers from the crowd. It’s unclear how the storyline will progress from hereon but Ziggler should enter a feud against Theory.
At this point, Theory is already scheduled to face Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship at SummerSlam on July 30. Ziggler may get added to the mix to make it a triple threat after his WWE Raw return, or he may just want to go after the Money in the Bank briefcase, held by Theory.
Prior to last night’s appearance, Ziggler made sporadic appearances on the main roster shows in recent times. He was last seen on the June 27 episode of WWE Raw as part of the Last Chance Money in the Bank Qualifying Battle Royal. Prior to that, Ziggler also got involved in a feud on the WWE NXT roster, working a program with NXT Champion Bron Breakker with the NXT Title hanging in the balance.
Ziggler won the NXT Title at NXT Stand and Deliver on April 2 but just two nights later on WWE Raw, Breakker regained his title in the obliged rematch.
