Alexa Bliss confirmed Money in the Bank participants names from WWE Raw division, last night. It was the prime attraction heading into the show. We also witnessed buildups over the title matches waiting for the championship match at the upcoming PPV. Also, WWE confirmed a new steel cage match for the PPV event. Alexa Bliss’ music hit the arena to kick off this week’s episode of WWE Raw. She announced the four names for Money in the Bank ladder match from the men’s division. They are Braun Strowman, Ricochet, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin. All four of them came out to the ring and made their point of winning the match. A staredown took us right into the opening contest of the night.
Braun Strowman and Ricochet vs. Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin was the lineup for the opening tag team match of the night. Strowman was in control of the match but McIntyre hit him with a Claymore Kick outside the ring. But a miscommunication broke out as McIntyre hit his own partner Corbin from behind. Strowman then hit Corbin with a Running Powerslam. Ricochet followed up with a shooting star press for the win.
The Usos will face Anderson and Gallows who are the newest inductees on WWE Raw roster. Jey Uso hit a Samoan Drop before a running hip attack in the corner for a near fall on Anderson. Anderso countered with a Spine Buster. Both the Usos entered the match and hit a stereo superkicks on Gallows-Anderson. Jimmy hit the top rope splash on Gallows for the win. After the match, Usos and The Revival had a confrontation.
Miz TV returned on WWE Raw with a special guest Bobby Lashley who took shots with A-lister talking cheap about his wife and father. Miz went irate and attacked Lashley right there. He gained the upper hand throwing chairs on Lashley as we headed into the next match.
The Miz took on against Bobby Lashley in a fresh matchup on WWE Raw in the contest. Miz took control of the match hitting two double knees into the corner followed by a DDT on Lashley. Shane McMahon appeared on the ramp to distract Miz. Lashley hit a spear on Miz during this to get the win. McMahon and Lashley beat up The Miz after the match. McMahon passed out Miz with a chokehold before leaving.
The Viking Raiders vs. Lucha House Party was the next tag team match lineup on WWE Raw. The NXT tag champs picked up an easy win on the Luchas hitting the Viking Experience. After the match, they planted Lince Dorado with a springboard clothesline/German suplex combo.
Alexa Bliss was out again to announce WWE Raw Women Superstars in the Money in the Bank match. She introduced Natalya, Dana Brooke, Naomi and herself to be the four competitors of the match. Naomi challenged her for a match as this was underway. Alexa had troubles with her shoes which allowed Naomi to hit the rear-view followed by a split-legged moonsault for the win.
WWE Raw and Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch addressed the WWE Universe talking about the two opponents at Money in the Bank PPV. Soon Lacey Evans interrupted her promo and charged down to the ring to create a huge brawl. Producers and officials ran out to the ring to separate these two. The chaos continued for sometimes before the officials separated these two.
WWE Raw Tag Team Champions Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins were out to compete in a match against The Revival. Ryder hit a neck-breaker and countered a roll-up into a backslide for the upset victory. Sami Zayn came out and cut another heel promo on the WWE Universe before leaving.
The Miz challenged Shane McMahon in a Steel Cage Match for the Money in the Bank which WWE made official for the PPV event.
WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio was next on WWE Raw. Mysterio hit a flying Hurricanrana that Joe countered with a Coquina Clutch. Rey hit a 619 but Joe again countered with an Uranage. While going for the second Uranage, Rey rolled up Joe to pick up the win.
WWE Universal Championship Contract Signing was the main event of this week’s WWE Raw. AJ Styles and Seth Rollins signed the contract for the championship and had a confrontation. Styles attacked Rollins to cause a fight. Rollins took out Styles with a Suicidal Dive but Styles fought back with a punch. He hit a Phenomenal Forearm to stand tall and end the show.
