WWE roster was back from Saudi Arabia to deliver the post Crown Jewel edition of the flagship show. With Survivor Series happening within just three weeks, buildups for the show were the main focus. Plus, Brock Lesnar returned on WWE Raw as a permanent member of the roster. Check out the results from the show that took place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York City.
How the WWE roster was stuck in Saudi Arabia?
WWE Raw opened with Triple H arriving at the arena in an SUV car. The camera cut to the ring where we saw Brock Lesnar appearing with Paul Heyman. The advocate informed us about Lesnar having has a no-cut contract which allows him to do whatever he wants. After saying that, he went backstage and attacked a couple of employees as he couldn’t find Rey Mysterio.
Rusev negotiating new WWE contract
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors Asuka and Kairi Sane vs. Natalya and Charlotte Flair was the opening contest of WWE RAW. Flair hit the Natural Selection followed by a Moonsault on Sane to take control whereas Natalya hit a clothesline and German Suplexes on Asuka. Nattie picked up the win via Sharpshooter submission move as Flair neutralized Sane with a spear.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman appeared at the WWE Raw announce table to ask Jerry Lawler where Rey Mysterio is. Heyman insulted Jerry that led Dio Madin to confront Lesnar and receive an F5 through the table. Rey Mysterio ran out with a pipe in hand and attacked Lesnar from the back. He injured Lesnar’s knee with it to leave the champion lying on the floor.
Buddy Murphy vs. Cedric Alexander rematch happened on WWE Raw where the latter one took control by hitting a Springboard Flatliner and a Michinoku Driver. Murphy caught Cedric with a Jumping Knee while he was going for a springboard and followed up with the Murphy’s Law to get another win over Cedric.
Seth Rollins appeared on WWE Raw to talk about his title loss against The Fiend at Crown Jewel. Triple H arrived at the ring and brought along NXT Champion Adam Cole, NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong, NXT Tag Team Champions Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly with him asking Rollins to join NXT. Soon The OCs appeared on the ramp to neutralize things. But Dominik Dijakovic and Damian Priest attacked them from the back. The Raw roster ran out to the ring as NXT members had to go for a retreat.
Andrade and Zelina Vega competed against Sin Cara and Carolina in a mixed tag team matchup on WWE Raw. Carolina and Cara brought high flying moves to get early momentums in the match. But in the end, Vega connected with a basement Hurricanrana to pick up the win on WWE Raw.
Rusev called out Bobby Lashley on WWE Raw who came out on crutches claiming he lost his groin doing things with Lana. Lashley introduced Drew McIntyre to compete in a match against Rusev who was in firm control with a Superkick on McIntyre. But Lashley disqualified the match by hitting Rusev with crutches. Rusev was able to neutralize Lashley sending him to the ring post. But Randy Orton appeared to hit him with an RKO. Ricochet ran down and pushed Orton on Lana to stand tall.
WWE confirmed RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley for a Triple Threat at WWE Survivor Series. Lynch and Baszler had a confrontation to hype up the match.
The OC – WWE United States Champion AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. The Street Profits and Humberto Carrillo was the next matchup on WWE Raw. AJ Styles cut a heel promo on NXT before the match began. It ended with AJ hitting a Powerbomb and putting his feet on the ropes to get leverage for the pin to win.
The Viking Raiders defeated The East Hampton Polo Boys in a squash match after Erik hit a Gutwrench Powerbomb on one of them and Ivar delivered a big splash on him.
After what transpired earlier on WWE Raw, Seth Rollins received a match against Adam Cole for the NXT Championship. Rollins was in control of the match hitting the Falcon Arrow on Cole and setting him up for the Stomp. The NXT tag champs pulled Rollins’ legs to disqualify the match. The Undisputed Era unloaded on Rollins until Raw roster members made the save. The NXT vs. Raw brawl continued at the ringside as WWE Raw went off the air.
