WWE: Raw Full Results: September 5, 2017

Just three weeks remaining to the No Mercy PPV, WWE Raw had a packed night. Two main blockbuster events were already confirmed. One of them was contested for the Intercontinental title, whereas, the other was scheduled between two giants of the WWE. Check out the results from the night that was hosted by the Century Link Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

WWE Raw kicked off with a match between John Cena taking on Kurt Angle’s son, Jason Jordan. The latter one took the franchise player to his limit as the crowd chanted ‘this is awesome’. Cena finally puts Jordan into a cross-face and followed it up with the AA to pick up the win.

Cena celebrated the win by raising Jason Jordan’s hand which got interrupted by Roman Reigns’ music. He complained about the fact that despite being a 16-time world champion it took Cena over 20 minutes to beat a rookie like Jordan. Another promo session took place between them, afterwards.

Sheamus & Cesaro won a match against Heath Slater & Rhyno with Rollins and Ambrose being present at ringside. Later, the WWE Raw tag team champions had a contest with Gallows and Anderson which they won, comprehensively. After the match, a brawl broke out among The Bar and The Club members.

A match was announced for the No Mercy PPV between Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss for Raw women’s title. It led Nia Jax complaining about not getting the opportunity. The same complaint was made by Emma, as well. Kurt Angle made a tag team match between the team of Sasha and Alexa taking on against Emma and Nia.

The stipulation was given, that if the latter two picks up the win, then they will be inserted into the championship match, as well. Emma and Nia got the win despite a miscommunication, as Nia hit a leg drop on Banks. The title match had now become a fatal-4-way match at No Mercy.

The Miz defended the Intercontinental title against Jeff Hardy. In between the match, the members of the entourage and Matt Hardy were ejected from ringside. Jeff was on the verge of a win by hitting the Swanton Bomb. But, Maryse helped Miz to move away. Later, he connected with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win and retained the title.

Finn Balor had a promo segment against Bray Wyatt to make a match official for No Mercy PPV. A six-man tag team match took place where the babyface team picked up the win. Further, a fatal-5-way match announced for 205 Live to determine a number one contender for Cruiserweight title.

The main event turned out to be good as the crowd got to witness several mark-out moments. In the end, Strowman put down Big Show with a suplex off the top rope and a running power slam. He cut a promo after the match and finished off WWE Raw by avalanching Show through the steel cage.
