Edge left the social media buzzing in his latest appearance on WWE Raw. During his first show-up since defeating Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell structure in late October, he initially wanted to scout new talents for some potential dream matches until getting interrupted by The Miz and his wife Maryse. This also marked the returns for the former WWE Champion and his gorgeous life partner into a WWE storyline.

The two male superstars got engaged in a verbal war on WWE Raw and it was then when Edge pointed out how The Miz left his former tag team partner (John Morrison) only to get released, a line that was discussed for a long time after the show.

WWE Raw: Hall Of Famer Possibly Returning For Edge Vs. Miz Feud 1

Now, the speculation is that WWE superstar Edge may end up getting some help from a fellow Hall of Famer for his ongoing angle with The Miz. According to PW Insider reports, the feud might see the insertion of Beth Phoenix (also Edge’s wife) on WWE Raw. Thus, WWE will initiate a couple vs. couple storyline where “The Glamazon” might just want to form a tag team with her husband against The Miz and Maryse.

A WWE Raw return seems imminent for Beth Phoenix

The speculation was further fueled up as Beth Phoenix announced her departure from the NXT commentary team with a lengthy post on Twitter. She announced that this Sunday’s WarGames event will be her final night on the NXT commentary team with Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett. While she will be a part of WWE, the weekly WWE appearances are coming to an end.

That being said, a WWE Raw return for an in-ring capacity seems inevitable for the multi-time WWE Divas Champion. Phoenix joined the NXT commentary team back on May 15, 2019. She also recently got into the country music business, releasing her “Stone Rose & Bone” debut EP on November 12.

Originally, Phoenix retired in the fall of 2012. She came out of retirement in April 2019 for a women’s tag team match build for WrestleMania 35. She was also featured in Women’s Royal Rumble matches in 2018 and 2020. Her last match was a win over AJ Lee on the October 29, 2012 episode of WWE RAW. But going by the circumstances, some more WWE TV appearances are likely happening for her.
