Three segments have been announced for a special episode of WWE Raw that emanates from the prestigious Madison Square Garden Arena in New York City. Additionally, this coming episode will also serve as the go-home edition from the red brand for the SummerSlam 2022 pay-per-view event. The top champion for both the WWE’s brands will be in a rare attendance to be the rare headliner.
The Mysterios – Rey and Dominik Mysterio are set to collide in the potential main event match with The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor on this go-home WWE Raw before SummerSlam that takes place on July 30 at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Besides the upcoming red brand show will also be a historic night for Rey.

WWE has confirmed during this week’s WWE Raw that Rey Mysterio’s 20-year anniversary celebration will take place at MSG. The two teams of The Mysterios and Judgment Day are feuding with one another ever since The Judgment Day tried to recruit Dominik Mysterio to their faction, three weeks ago. The heel faction told Dom that they would be a better teacher to him than his father who is well past his prime.
Rey Mysterio involved in a feud with Judgment Day on WWE Raw
On the July 18 edition of WWE Raw, Dominik agreed to join the Judgment Day as the duo was attacking his father and they also wanted to put Rey down with a Con-chair-to. Dom’s proposal to join Judgement Day was eventually rejected as they beat him with a chair. Rumors are currently suggesting that Dom will turn on his father during the upcoming celebration and then join the heel stable on next week’s WWE Raw.
Reports also suggest that Hall of Famer Edge may also return to the show to get his revenge on The Judgement Day and in turn, will help out his former tag team partner in Rey Mysterio.
It was also announced that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be in attendance on WWE Raw to presumably address his SummerSlam opponent Brock Lesnar ahead of their Last Man Standing Match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The main event match featuring Reigns and the Usos vs. Riddle and the Street Profits is also being advertised, according to PWInsider. It is likely to serve as a dark match after the show taping.
Also, it was announced that Logan Paul would make another appearance on WWE Raw. Per his promo, he will be hosting his own version of Miz TV which will apparently be better than the original Miz TV. This segment will hype things up for the confirmed match between The Miz and Logan Paul for WWE SummerSlam 2022. WWE made the match, official during last night’s Raw where Paul made his return since WrestleMania 38.
