We have been witnessing a brand new version of Edge on WWE Raw, these days which is totally opposite to his energetic persona. Perhaps, no one used to feed himself off the energy of the WWE Universe but going into Wrestlemania season, things changed as Edge adopted a new dark-heel persona. Damian Priest has also become his partner-in-crime.
Night Two of WrestleMania 38 saw the WWE Hall of Famer defeat AJ Styles, thanks to a ringside distraction from Priest which started the association. Heading into the match reports already claimed that plans were already there for Edge to lead a new heel stable on WWE Raw. Priest was one of the obvious names discussed for the faction.
WWE Raw: Becky Lynch Confident About Wrestling Rhea Ripley At The Right Time
Now, Fightful Select reports that WWE is looking to add more names to the group and this could eventually be a female superstar. WWE creative has recently pitched additional names to be a part of the dark stable which includes the former WWE Raw Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley.
For the past few weeks, Ripley has been teaming with Liv Morgan but they were unsuccessful at WrestleMania Sunday in the Fatal 4 Way where Sasha Banks and Naomi won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles over Natalya and Shayna Baszler, and the former champions, Carmella and Queen Zelina Vega.
A betrayal could be waiting on WWE Raw
Minor tension between Morgan and Ripley continued on the latest episode of WWE Raw until Morgan revealed that Adam Pearce had granted them a title shot from Banks and Naomi for next week. It’s possible that the ongoing tension may lead to Ripley turning on Morgan and joining Edge and Priest on the dark side stable. Ripley was visibly upset after Morgan was pinned on Raw in the championship contender’s match.
It was noted by the source that Tommaso Ciampa is among the NXT Superstars who have been discussed joining the group. Ciampa has recently been working on several main roster shows and tapings. He also took a loss to Tony D’Angelo at NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday night that appeared to be his NXT farewell.
There’s no confirmation available on what’s in store for him in the future. Ripley and Ciampa are absolutely not confirmed to be part of the group formed by Edge. However, storyline-wise, it would make sense for these youngsters to join the Rated R Superstar on WWE Raw and make a name for themselves.
