With Wrestlemania 38 approaching closer, a top WWE Raw Superstar’s injury could become a headache for the creative team. As per the ongoing from this week’s episode, Randy Orton may have suffered an injury during his scheduled tag team match.
In the mid-hour of the February 28 episode of WWE Raw, Orton may have suffered the injury while competing in the match (with Riddle) against the Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. Orton and Riddle eventually digested a pinfall loss to The Street Profits in the match and Orton was the one to get pinned by Ford.

Orton reading for his pendant RKO in the match to Ford who dodged the move. After a drop-kick, Ford headed to the top rope to hit the top rope Frogsplash. As seen in the released videos of the match, Ford went up for a Frogsplash on Orton and connected with it but an awkward landing may have caused some sort of shoulder injury to the former WWE Raw tag team champion.

Unfortunate injury occurred on WWE Raw
Things were bizarre during the ending point of this match as Orton tried to put his foot on the bottom rope, but Angelo Dawkins removed it. The referee’s count was also a bit awkward via which but The Profits got the win via pinfall on WWE Raw. Soon after the match bell rang, a brief in-ring discussion among the referee, RK-Bro, and The Profits could be noticed.
As noted by a fan in attendance, Orton, Riddle, and a referee were seen walking off the side of the stage while The Profits went through the normal entranceway to the Gorilla Position. Orton was seen dealing with some sort of issues in his right shoulder but he was able to walk on his own to the back.
No concrete update is available on how bad Orton’s injury could be as we expect more updates once more diagnosis is performed. Next week’s WWE Raw will feature Team RK-Bro vs. Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens vs. RAW Tag Team Champions Alpha Academy with the titles on the line in a triple threat. We’ll have to wait and see whether any changes are made to the match due to the injury.
