Former Divas Champion Paige made her much-anticipated return on WWE Raw that ended on a sour note. She was there trying to help out the WWE women’s tag team champions Asuka and Kairi Sane trying to rekindle their old bond. But the newly turned heels turned on the ‘anti-Diva’ and put her down with the mystery green mist used by Asuka.
WWE Raw kicked off in a pleasant way as Paige made her way down to the ring to introduce the women’s tag team champions. She hoped to manage the team of Asuka and Kairi Sane after showering them with some praising words. But the champs had something else in mind.
Why Asuka should challenge Becky, next?
Both of them took the mic off Paige’s hands on a couple of separate occasions before spitting the green mist on her face. She was screaming as she could not seeing anything while laying outside the ring.
WWE Raw women’s champion, Becky Lynch came out pouncing on Asuka and Kairi Sane to settle an old score. The number-games soon really caught up on The Man before the officials separated them.
Soon the scheduled matchup began on WWE Raw featuring Becky Lynch and Kairi Sane in the opening contest. Sane tried her very best but ultimately failed to score the win, (courtesy WWE.com)
“In fact, Sane proved as dangerous a foe for Lynch as her partner Asuka has. Sane mangled The Man across the ring with unorthodox strikes and even locked in her torturous Anchor submission for a spell. But with The Pirate Princess struggling to finish the job, Asuka attempted to run interference and inadvertently reversed her partner’s fortunes. Lynch sent Asuka scrambling and quickly ensnared Sane in the Dis-arm-her, securing a submission victory.”
The way the scene unfolded on WWE Raw, it is certain that the partnership between Paige and The Kabuki Warriors has come to an end. It will be interesting to see whether the former Divas Champion will continue appearing on the flagship show playing spoilsport for the tag champs.
As for Becky Lynch, she is still fuming over the fact that Asuka spread green mist on her face, two weeks ago. So she will try to get her hands on the Empress of Tomorrow, as early as possible.
