WWE Rumor: Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar to take place at Survivor Series
Oct 6, 2016 at 10:55 AM
Last night Goldberg appeared on the ESPN Sportscenter with the coach where he did all but confirmed his WWE return. He kept on teasing with the return but did not utter a single word on the much-anticipated return. Meanwhile, this is the first time on the “off the top rope” segment that a superstar appeared without a WWE contract.
He commented, “I’m an old man, here, I’m 49 years old. A guy like Ric Flair at 49 can go out and do his character, a guy at 49 to go out and do Goldberg again? I don’t know what the odds are.”
“I want the ability to be that guy again, but there’s a compromise there. To be that guy at 49 years old, do you risk losing your legacy?”
In the meantime, when the rumors are running rampant about Goldberg’s return, the veteran WWE commentator, Jim Ross posted a tweet in his official twitter handle hinting that a Brock Lesnar-Goldberg feud is indeed on the cards. We thought that the much-anticipated feud is stored for next year’s Wrestlemania, but JR revealed that we are going to get it early at the Survivor Series PPV.
Another source says that @Goldberg vs @BrockLesnar is a done deal and that it will likely go down at #SurvivorSeries. If true, bravo @wwe

Goldberg replied to the tweets and he did not deny the fact, either. He kept on with his cryptic comments, as usual. Meanwhile, reports are continuously surfacing saying that this time, WWE is seriously talking about the two superstars for the much-anticipated match to finally culminate.
Dave Meltzer also confirmed the same by commenting, “There are very serious talks with Bill Goldberg going on right now, maybe more serious than… they may already be done for all I know. Everyone is avoiding the question. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. … There’s something going on. Put it this way: It’s in the very strong discussion stages at worst.”
WWE 2K17 will be officially launched on this month and we can expect anything to happen on the verge of the Hell in a Cell PPV.
