WWE Rumor: Officials Intentionally Trying To Keep Popular WWE Couple Separate 1

WWE Superstar Shakeup edition 2019 is in the history books of the company that brought several new names into the Raw and Smackdown roster. It created a new lineup in both Monday and Tuesday Nights that would help the creative team to come up with new feuds in due course. But there’s a slight concern when it comes to real-life couples in the WWE.

New WWE couple made a public appearance

As we all know, there are several real-life couples present on both Raw and Smackdown rosters. They all want to be on the same side just to go through the same schedule throughout the year. This, in turn, will allow them to spend quality times together which would not be possible if they belong to different rosters. It’s become extremely tough to balance personal life as they barely get to meet each other.

The general concern is that WWE officials try to keep the couples on the same brand i.e. either on Raw and Smackdown brand. In case, they feel to intentionally separate a couple then some of the names may land on different rosters. This year, the same happened for only two couples whereas the rest of them managed to get on board on the same brand.

Real-life couples on Raw are Erik (of The Viking Experience) and Sarah Logan, Aleister Black, and Zelina Vega. Over on Smackdown, there are Jimmy Uso and Naomi, Rusev and Lana, Mike and Maria Kanellis. All of them belong to the same brand whereas Charlotte Flair & Andrade ended up on different brands. Charlotte remains on SmackDown whereas Andrade had to move to Raw on last week’s Superstar Shakeup.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer mentioned that WWE officials might have done this since they want to keep these two separated. The concern is much higher around them since they are a high-profile couple. Here’s what the source had to say about this situation:

“The splitting of a couple by the office is usually the sign of wanting to break them up. In the Andrade/Flair situation, it does put Vega and Black together on the same brand.”

The other concerned name in this situation is Alexa Bliss and Buddy Murphy. Alexa is a resident of Raw and Murphy has joined SmackDown after Superstar Shakeup from 205 Live. However, as you can see they were neither on the same brand even before the Superstar Shakeup nor they appear in public as a couple. So worries at this time revolve with Charlotte and Andrade only. It would be interesting to see whether WWE officials are indeed willing to break up their relationship with more such antics.
