WWE Smackdown was hyped up this week with a sudden announcement that a Hall of Famer is returning on the show. Lita it was as per the confirmation from WWE.com,
“Last week, it was announced that WWE Hall of Famer Lita would be among the honored participants competing in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match for the opportunity to headline WrestleMania.

The appearance on WWE Smackdown by one of the all-time greats took place in order to proceed with the builds for Royal Rumble 2022 edition which will go down with a star-studded lineup. Lita will be one of those names who received a huge pop upon showing up on WWE TV from the fans in attendance of the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Hall of Famer declared that she has one run left in her and hence she wants to win the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match to go on to challenge for a Title at WrestleMania 38. WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair interrupted her promo and wondered how Lita will deal with the humiliation after she loses to her at the Royal Rumble match.

Lita made a straight-up message on WWE Smackdown
Lita mentioned how Charlotte has a giant head while the champion pointed out how she already had defeated Lita’s best friend Trish Stratus (at Summerslam 2019 in Trish’s hometown of Toronto, Canda) and forced her to go back to retirement.
Flair claimed she will do the same to Lita when she comes back to the in-ring competition. Charlotte tried to slap Lita, but Lita blocked and then took out the WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion with a Twist of Fate to deliver a statement ahead of Rumble.
Before this week’s WWE Smackdown appearance, Lita featured in a storyline for WWE Evolution PPV. Apart from the PPV, she last wrestled in a 10-woman tag team match on the October 29, 2018 edition of RAW. This was the night after Evolution where she and WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus defeated Alicia Fox and current Impact Knockouts Champion Mickie James at Evolution.
