Rowan appeared at the ring to kick off this week’s episode of SmackDown Live. He cut a promo about man-handling Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan for the past couple of weeks as the latter one came out. He challenged Rowan to a match as it started right away. Rowan dropped Bryan with a spinning kick for a close 2-count. Bryan came back hitting the missile drop-kick and YES kicks. He went for the LeBell Lock but Harper appeared at ringside to distract him.
Bryan focused on Harper as Rowan attacked him from the back and hit the Iron Claw Slam on two occasions to get the win. After the match, The Bludgeon Brothers entered the ring to attack Bryan. Roman Reigns showed up to save him hitting a spear on Rowan whereas Bryan dropped Harper with the big knee. Bryan asked the fans whether they are willing to see Reigns and Bryan take out Harper and Rowan as they responded with YES chants.

The commentary team hyped up Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion Kofi Kingston on the October 4 SmackDown FOX premiere. We cut to Michael Cole at backstage where we saw Kofi in a pre-recorded sitdown interview.
Chad Gable appeared on SmackDown to speak about his recent altercations with Baron Corbin. He reminded how Corbin almost tapped out to Gable. Mike Kanellis interrupted his promo to set up an impromptu matchup. Gable grabbed Mike and delivered an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. He hit another big suplex and locked the ankle lock for the squash win. Elias appeared on the screen to cut a joke on Gable’s height.
Carmella and Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks and Bayley was the next matchup on SmackDown Live where Flair had the Figure-Eight locked in on Sasha Banks. Bayley tried to interfere as Carmella neutralized her with a Superkick. Banks came from the back and forced Mella to tap out with the Bank Statement. Truth ran away with Carmella after the match as Banks and Bayley double-teamed on Flair. WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch ran out to make the save and shove the heels off the ring.
Ali vs. Shinsuke Nakamura was the next matchup on SmackDown Live. Sami Zayn had the mic in hand who asked the fans to show some respect to the Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura. Ali started with a crossbody to which Nakamura responded by sending him head-first to the apron. Ali came back from the second turnbuckle and caught Nakamura with a big DDT. Sami distracted him as Ali chased him down. Nakamura landed the Kinshasa as he got back to the ring to pick up the clean win.
The New Day members Big E and Xavier Woods took on The B Team members Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas on SmackDown Live. Dallas and Axel controlled Woods for the beginning part of the match until E knocked out Axel outside the ring. He followed up with an immediate Midnight Hour to pick up the win.
Asuka and Kairi Sane vs. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville was the next matchup on SmackDown. Rose was carrying the Maxim Magazine cover with her and rubbed it on Sane’s face telling she will never look like this. Asuka downed Rose with a corner Hip Attack and a running bulldog. She dropped Rose with a Codebreaker and tagged in Sane who dropped an InSane Elbow on Rose for the win.
Shane McMahon brought up a $25 million wrongful termination lawsuit that Owens has against him. He mentioned that if Owens drops the lawsuit then Shane will also drop the $100,000 fine. But Owens proposed a final Ladder Match between them. If Shane wins then he drops his lawsuit and stays fired. But if Owens wins, then Shane is gone from WWE. Shane accepts the challenge to close the segment and make the match officials for next week.
We went backstage to see Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch giving an interview to Kayla Braxton. Sasha Banks pounced on Becky from behind and beat her down to end SmackDown off the air for this week.
