WWE Smackdown is moving on from WWE Crown Jewel 2021 while surprisingly no Survivor Series 2021 proceedings were noted, to date. As the company continues to reserve its storylines on the championship feuds, we expect The Bloodline to be the main event attraction, as always. Also, a new rivalry will begin within the women’s division as this week’s show emanates from the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
Two weeks ago, Brock Lesnar featured in a brawl with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos as he wanted to get retribution after being scr**ed out of the Universal title match at WWE Crown Jewel.
WWE Raw, Smackdown, NXT Superstars Released Over COVID-19 Vaccination Issue
The segment ended with Lesnar attacking a WWE cameraman and other officials at ringside, which led to WWE Official Adam Pearce suspending Lesnar, indefinitely. Lesnar then destroyed Pearce over the suspension with a couple of F5s. Then Pearce again issued a statement from his WWE HQ on last week’s WWE SmackDown to mention that Lesnar has been hit with a fine of $1 million.
That being said, Roman Reigns is currently sitting, opponent-less on WWE Smackdown. After a week’s hiatus, he will be back on TV as the promotional raises the question, whether he and The Usos will be able to keep control of things on their show. We also expect to learn whether new challengers will be waiting for them en route to Survivor Series 2021.
WWE Smackdown Preview (05/11/21): Sasha Banks vs. Shotzi
In an interesting build on WWE Smackdown, Shotzi Blackheart turned heel, last week. In her maiden appearance on the main roster as a singles Superstar, Shotzi answered a challenger laid down by reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.
Originally, Sasha Banks was in a demanding position for a title match again the Queen which was refused given that Flair has defeated The Boss time and time again in the past. The confrontation featuring the trio eventually led to an impromptu match between the WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion and Shotzi, which the champion won.
Following the loss, an irate Shotzi blamed Banks for costing her the match (Sasha was standing at ringside and tried to encourage Shotzi, throughout the match) and thereby attacked her. It ended with Ball Pit senton off the top rope after which the WWE Twitter account shared a clip of Shotzi slamming Banks head-first into her tank, with the caption being, “@ShotziWWE has LOST IT.”

Shotzi reacted to the post saying, “No! I found it!” while Sasha Banks seems to be excited about starting a rivalry with Shotzi, “Let’s get Ballsy @ShotziWWE #ballsybitch.” While this fresh feud could excite the WWE Universe, there’s still no update available on who would challenge next for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship. Updates to the situation are likely arriving, tonight.
