WWE Star Paige Banned From Twitch Over Streaming Copyrighted Content

WWE didn’t have to offer much for Paige for the past couple of years who was happy to be in quarantine with boyfriend Ronnie Radke during the pandemic. From her home in California, she was rather happy to keep in touch with her huge fanbase through her Twitch channel, instead. WWE’s third-party edict wasn’t a bar for her. But for now, it seems she’ll have to stay out of streaming for some time, at least.

As seen in the latest, Paige has been banned from Twitch due to copyright infringement. According to her followers, Paige hosted a watch-along of Dumb and Dumber and her stream was shut off in the middle of Jim Carey’s classic comedy. She also previously streamed the 1986 movie Labyrinth but the consequence wasn’t this tough.

For now, whoever tries to get in touch with Paige’s official Twitch channel under her real name, the following message is getting popped up, “Sorry. Unless you’ve got a time machine, that content is unavailable.”

Paige has become one of the top wrestling personalities on Twitch

A user on Twitter noted that the former WWE Divas Champion was rightfully targeted by a rights holder since Dumb and Dumber is not a movie eligible for Prime Watch Parties on Twitch. Typically, streamers on Twitch are allowed to host watch parties for several movies at the Amazon-owned platform but the Dumb and Dumber movie isn’t eligible for the same.

As noted above, Paige has been streaming on Twitch since last year who eventually became one of the top wrestling personalities on the platform. Going by Twitch guidelines, a suspension can last for up to 30 days. In case, streamers with prior suspension records can be found, they will be removed from the platform, indefinitely. Since this was the first violation by the WWE Superstar, we can hope that she will be back on the platform, soon.

Paige admittedly has been addicted to this Twitch platform which allows her to react with her fans, every now and then. So, she won’t take the ban, lightly, for sure. Last month, she celebrated three years of sobriety who continues to find herself in a better place physically and mentally.

Her fanbase and boyfriend helped her a lot to get back to this positive state of mind. The 28-year-old star was forced to retire from pro wrestling in 2018 after suffering a career-ending neck injury.
