For months now, it’s been speculated on when Dominik would make his in-ring debut in the WWE. It finally happens in a big way where he faces Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2020 in a singles contest. This is the best debut that he could possibly expect for as Rollins is the top-most superstar of the Raw roster.
Dominik is desperate to seek redemption against Seth Rollins who took out an eye of his father, Rey Mysterio at the Horror Show at Extreme Rules in July. To date, he also handed out quite the beatdown to the Monday Night Messiah, using Kendo Sticks and offensive maneuvers. But there’s doubt whether he can perform well in a long-term wrestling match that is at Summerslam 2020.

Rey Mysterio has been absent during the buildup of this SummerSlam 2020 bout as he’s injured after losing an eye to Seth Rollins. As for Seth Rollins, it’s all about taking forward The Messiah gimmick and get the incredible story-telling going for this character. While speaking with Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, he talked about the “Messiah” moniker and stated the following,
“A lot of people think it’s just the matches and stuff like that, but it’s not. It’s the storytelling and the characters and at the end of the day, that’s the most important thing about what we do. Establishing characters that people care about. I think one way or another, whether you’re on my side or against me, there [are] strong feelings about the ‘Monday Night Messiah,’ so, yeah, it’s definitely something that I’m very proud of and look forward to cultivating as we move forward into this strange year that is 2020.”
