The United States Title match has been made official for WWE SummerSlam 2021. Damian Priest and the reigning WWE United States Champion Sheamus have been feuding for weeks and a title match between them was evident to happen. It was then confirmed for the upcoming PPV during this week’s Monday Night RAW episode from Orlando, Florida.
Over on the show, Sheamus defeated Ricochet in singles action. The high-flyer was in control of the match but he accidentally gave a headbutt and hit hard on the face-mask worn by Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior was quick to capitalize on the opportunity as he charged down with the Brogue Kick for a clean pinfall win in that Championship Contender’s match.

Continuing the feud for WWE SummerSlam 2021, Damian Priest made an entrance when Sheamus was making his exit. Priest was coming out for his scheduled match against John Morrison and Sheamus wasn’t happy with the interference but they didn’t get involved in any physical confrontation, right there. The champion rather made an exit to the back.
Afterward, Priest defeated John Morrison in that singles contest by hitting The Reckoning on him. After that match, he also chased The Miz which forced him to stand up from his wheelchair. Then Priest cut a promo on Sheamus until the champion came back and went ahead to face him.
Priest called Sheamus a bully and said like every other bully in his life, he will deal with him. But this one would be different because he wants Sheamus at WWE SummerSlam 2021. Sheamus accepted the challenge and the match was confirmed, henceforth. Sheamus left the stage before mentioning that Priest better be ready for the fight of his life at the upcoming event. Priest then also took out John Morrison who tried to attack him from behind.
