WWE: Twitter Reactions from This Week’s Edition of Raw: January 8, 2018
Jan 9, 2018 at 2:19 PM
Last night’s WWE Raw delivered to a big extent with some interesting segment starting from the opener. The audience was thrilled to see The Balor Club extending their work as a cohesive unit. It would certainly give a positive direction to each one of their careers. Plus, the heat is getting bigger, each week for Jason Jordan, as he tries to be a replacement for Dean Ambrose.
After a good opener, the pace of the show was cut short with a tag team match featuring Absolution. Paige did not compete, and her absence was missed. It was also not understood why the faction suffered their first loss heading towards Royal Rumble when they are supposed to dominate the 30-woman match.
Bad match that did no favors for really anyone. It makes no sense for Absolution to be losing, as they should be ones to dominate in the Rumble for a portion of the match before being eliminated. #RAW

Whenever it comes down to The Miz, we are almost guaranteed that he will deliver to a big extent. Following his return, he did not disappoint either. He cut a hell of promo claiming big things are coming up for him in 2018. Following this, he reclaiming on the IC title is going to be quite an interesting one over Roman Reigns.
I was just getting ready to type that it wasn’t one of Heyman’s best promos, but who cares? I loved that Braun Strowman attack on Kane and Lesnar. I could watch Braun destroy people for all of 2018 and be completely happy. #RAW

Paul Heyman might have cut one of his best promos in a long time with Brock Lesnar by his side. But, his words were cut short by the monster among men who destroyed the champion and Kane. It was a surreal moment when Strowman pulled down the iron frame and drove it into both his opponents ahead of Royal Rumble. It is likely that both these behemoths will miss next week’s WWE Raw.
Good finish with the Jason Jordan screw-up to give Balor Club the win, but boy was it hell to get there. Rest hold after rest hold after rest hold. That was a totally dull match. Creative finish, but it was a labor to get there. #RAW

The main event contest fell short considering it was a dragged one. The altercation at the very last moment saves the contest. The Miz, coming down to the ring and attacking the champion, out of nowhere was cheered, too. We expect these two go at each other, going forward from now. Overall, a decent episode was hosted in Memphis and here are the Twitter reactions.
A triumphant return, a new series (and Executive Producer credit), a beautiful baby girl on the way, an absolutely STUNNING wife @MaryseMizanin, and the date set for when I will reclaim MY #ICTitle… #Raw25 can’t come soon enough.
2018 is the #YearOfMiz.
