As of now, Brock Lesnar is coming back to the WWE much earlier than usually thought. Wrestlemania was his last appearance on the WWE as we supposed him to be a UFC-bound star. As per the speculations, he was heading to the MMA ring once again for a dream fight against Daniel Cormier. Recent reports did suggest that Brock Lesnar could return to the Octagon during 2019 summer.

Why Brock Lesnar abused Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania?
However, according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN and The MMA Show, Brock Lesnar is now retired from UFC. Dana White confirmed the same to them which wiped out the chances of an MMA-return. It was almost certain to go back to UFC after a hiatus of three long years. The match against Daniel Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight Championship seemed happening in August. This must have been the UFC 240 pay-per-view main event emanating from Anaheim, California.
So what did abruptly happen that Brock Lesnar pulled himself off from UFC? Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Brock Lesnar was negotiating a deal with UFC for quite sometimes. But the mega match against UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier did not come to fruition. Money is the matter why UFC President backed out from letting the match happen. Here’s more from wrestlingINC.com,
“Lesnar reportedly wanted a flat fee from UFC for the Cormier fight, instead of a percentage of pay-per-view buys, but UFC felt like he was asking for too much. Meltzer noted that UFC is no longer under pressure to draw strong pay-per-view buys because they are getting about the same money through their deal with ESPN. We don’t know how much Lesnar asked for, but it was a certain price that was worth it to him to go through a grueling training camp at age 42, for a fight against a top athlete and fighter in Cormier.”
TMZ Sports previously reported Brock Lesnar was still submitting to USADA drug testing as recent as April. This meant that he may have been willing to be back to the Octagon for at least one last fight. But all of a sudden, the move came to a halt surprising everyone. Even rumors are rampant that he may be heading into retirement from pro-wrestling, too. We will see what happens next in his career as he is set for the next WWE fight.
Brock Lesnar faced Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35 over the Universal Championship and lost the match. This was the first time since 2016 that the beast incarnate came up short in a match via clean pin to drop the title. The audience wanted to see Rollins becoming the champion and they were extremely happy to see a new champion come out of the ‘show of shows’.
