This week Smackdown was taped from Newark, New Jersey. The Bulgarian Brute Rusev was scheduled to square off against the man that Gravity forgot Neville.
The problem was created with the Bulgarian flag coming down the ring. Normally we see the flag comes down above the ring with Rusev’s face imprinted on it but, this time, it got stuck after it gets exploded from the rafter and did not come down properly.
The flag coming down from the rafters an integral part of the ‘Bulgarian Brute’ gimmick since his very beginning in WWE wherever he participates in a match. So Rusev was not seemingly happy with the incident and to cover up the malfunction Rusev waved the flag he was carrying with him to the ring.
After Smackdown went off the air, The League of Nations attacked Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose when the Usos came out as an aid. Even they were scurried by Kevin Owens when new WWE champion Roman Reigns showed up to neutralize things and send the crowd home happily.
Again a fan rush happened at NXT event during the match between Chad Gable and Jason Jordan vs. the NXT tag champs The Mechanics. One of the overreacted fans rushed into the ring during the match when the live event was taking place on December 12th, from England, UK. NXT crew member, probably Ryan Katz took immediate action by taking out the fan. Recently same type attack was done to Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio.
Stardust was still out of action from this week’s RAW and Smackdown after an injury was reported following his match against Jack Swagger on December 7th episode of RAW. Though, he clarified on Twitter that he is doing fine without any fractures.
