WWE Wrestlemania 35 Results: Kurt Angle’s Farewell Match Ended On Sad Note 1

A legend headed into the end of his career at last night’s Wrestlemania. Kurt Angle competed in the final match of his WWE career against Baron Corbin that did not have the outcome in his favor. Thereby he failed to pick up a big win in the last match in the WWE. Also, the speculations of a legend replacing Corbin as his opponent also did not turn out to be true.

Baron Corbin started the match by entering the ring mocking the family of Kurt Angle. This made the veteran irate as he threw Corbin away with some belly to belly suplexes. But the heel superstar came back with a rake into the eyes of the Hall of Famer. From then onwards, the Lone Wolf dominated this Wrestlemania match.

Finally, Kurt Angle came back locking in the Ankle Lock on Baron Corbin. He managed to overcome the hold by sending Kurt Angle into the turnbuckles. He delivered a Deep Six to the legend who kicked out of the move and hit the top rope going for a moonsault. But he missed that allowing baron Corbin to plant him with the End of Days for the win. It ended the career of the six-time world champion as he departed by thanking the crowd.

It has been an emotional ride for the Kurt Angle fans for the past few weeks. This man was the only Olympic Gold Medalist present in the pro-wrestling industry and WWE who was a childhood hero for all of us. With the announcement of retiring, it marked the end of an era and thereby producing last night’s farewell match.

We expected that someone veteran will be competing against Kurt Angle in his farewell match. Speculations were high for this match where names like John Cena or The Undertaker were floating as his potential opponents. But WWE chose Baron Corbin from Monday Night Raw as his final match opponent at Wrestlemania 35.

This started a fan backlash around the social media among the WWE Universe. Almost everyone agreed to the fact that the Hall of Famer deserved much better in a match that will send him into the dawn of his career. Rumors were also there claiming that WWE was perhaps going to change the match lineup keeping the fans in mind. But we did not see any whatever change in the match as Wrestlemania aired. A bittersweet moment was waiting for the veteran as he ended his career.
