Brock Lesnar won the Royal Rumble 2022 edition and he’s already chosen his Wrestlemania 38 opponent. Quite predictably, he would be going after the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns to set up the much-anticipated match that would eventually culminate in the ongoing feud.
Brock also made a statement to the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley that he will become WWE Champion by the time The Biggest Event of the Year arrives, making the Wrestlemania 38 bout a Title vs. Title main event. As confirmed by WWE, the WWE Title Elimination Chamber match scheduled for February 19 in Saudi Arabia features The Rumble winner along with the champion Lashley, AJ Styles, Austin Theory, Seth Rollins, and Riddle.

Twists will be added to Wrestlemania 38 storyline
Dave Meltzer stated in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the original plan called for the title vs. title match not to happen but plans change so frequently these days in the WWE. Now, the idea is to book Reigns and Lesnar as strong as possible heading into the battle. This match will be billed as the biggest match of the year to portray that they are well above everyone else on the roster. Hence, this rematch would be considered a dream match.
Meltzer added that as of now, the course to WrestleMania 38 is set with both the world titles on the line. Plus, there will be lots of twists and turns to come and multiple factors will play out at Elimination Chamber 2022. As of this writing, Lesnar is the favorite to win the bout to win the WWE title.
As per the statistics, Lesnar and Reigns have already competed in seven matches in total against each other. It includes 4 singles matches, 2 triple threats, and 1 fatal 4-way match. Wrestlemania 38 would be their eighth outing in the ring and their third Wrestlemania main-event battle.
