Roman Reigns got pulled from WWE Day 1 due to COVID-19, and thus his scheduled title match was also canceled. Lesnar won the WWE Title after being added to the match to make it a Fatal 5 Way. Heyman got also reunited with Lesnar on Raw.

Reports also hinted that Rollins was scheduled to win the WWE Title at Day 1 but then plans changed and Lesnar went on to become the new champion. It was noted by The Observer that Rollins would go on to become the new Universal Champion and his WrestleMania 38 opponent would’ve been the Royal Rumble 2022 winner. At this point, Big E seems to be the favorite to win that match and face Rollins at the Show of Shows.

Top Women’s division matches for Wrestlemania 38

As for the top women’s title matches at WrestleMania 38, the original plans are Sasha Banks vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, and Bianca Belair vs. RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

Lynch is currently scheduled to defend her title against Doudrop at the Royal Rumble. Doudrop defeated Belair and Liv Morgan in a number-one contender’s match on RAW, this week. Lynch interfered and took out Belair from the equation which opens up another potential rematch with Belair, a bout that is possibly going down at WrestleMania 38. This also makes Belair the current favorite to win the Women’s Rumble match to solidify her challenger’s spot to Lynch.
