2014 World Cup T20 : Schedule

With all eyes on Asia Cup and Australia’s tour to South Africa, the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 is all set to begin in two weeks’ time. This edition involves a total of 16 teams out of which only 10 teams will play in the main round. The 2014 World T20 is split up into two stages, first the qualifiers followed by the main round. The Qualifiers has eight teams that earned their place to take part in it. The eight teams are split into two groups with four teams each out of which the top team from each qualifying group will make it to the main round. Here is the schedule of the qualifying round:

After the qualifiers gets over, ten teams will be in the fray to get crowned as Twenty 20 Champions. Group 2 looks very competitive as it has India, Pakistan, Australia, West Indies and most likely either Bangladesh or Afghanistan. The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals and the winners of the semi-finals will face off each other in the big final which is slated to take place on April 6, 2014.
