We have been many hits and flops in this season of IPL till now. Here is the Best XI of IPL season 7 in UAE leg –

1: Dwayne Smith (CSK) (Overseas Player 1)

240 runs and 3 wickets in 5 matches are more than enough stats to have him as the opener of the Best XI of IPL in UAE leg. He can also bowl few overs whenever required.

2: Ajinkya Rahane (RR)

With 182 runs in 5 matches, he has been one of the consistent openers in IPL this season. He knows how to pace his innings very well and picks his bowler very well. A very good combination with Dwayne Smith as he would take the attack from beginning of the innings.

3: Manish Pandey (KKR)

144 runs in 5 innings off which he has almost come into bat at pressure situations as his teams opener Gautam Gambhir failed to score. He is good pick as he understands the situation well. If he comes in early, he would build his innings and if he comes in after a good start, he wouldn’t let the scoring rate to fall and continue in the same manner.

4: Glenn Maxwell (KXIP) (Overseas Player 2)

One man without whom no XI would be complete. With 300 runs he is the highest run scorer in IPL till now. He has changed the way teams approach 7-14 overs period. This was time where teams often think on keeping the wickets intact and then explode in the last 6 overs but when Maxwell is batting even the middle overs are treated like slog overs.

5: David Miller (KXIP) (Overseas Player 3)

One of the best finishers in IPL this season. Maxwell often left the job half complete and Miller did the rest. All of his 155 runs have come in very quick time and has led the team to great finish.

6: M S Dhoni (CSK) (Captain)

He has captained his team well with 4 wins in 5 matches. He hasn’t got much of a chance to bat in his team and it doesn’t seam he would get a chance here as well. But his captaincy and wicket-keeping skills are great enough and not to forget, he is the best finisher in the world and same will be his role in the batting line-up.

7: Sunil Narine (KKR) (Overseas Player 4)

4th and the final most overseas player in this team. With 9 wickets he is the leading wicket-taker and one of the most economical bowler in the team as well. No team can leave him out. His bowling is still a mystery to many teams. He can also score few important runs down the order.

 8: Bhuvneshwar Kumar (SRH)

With 8 wickets in 5 matches, he would lead the pace attack of the Best XI of IPL this season until the UAE leg. He might not have the express pace but his intelligent bowling has done the trick for him.

9: Varun Aaron (RCB)

While Bhuvneshwar Kumar would rely on movement, Aaron’s pace would trouble the batsmen. He has played just 4 matches and taken 8 wickets with an economy of below 6.

10: Mohit Sharma (CSK)

He has bowled consistently till now. With 8 wickets in 5 matches, he has done well to restricted the batsmen from scoring high in the powerplay overs. He would play the role of a 3rd pacer in the team.

11: Yuzvendra Chahal (RCB)

One of the best find in IPL this season. 7 wickets in 5 innings and an economy of 5.31 would automatically give him the role of a second spinner in the team. He has been of those players who have made a great impact and impressed many experts watching him play.

Few players who missed out from the Best XI – Virender Sehwag, Brendon McCullum, JP Duminy, Mitchell Starc, Shane Watson and few more. Think these players would have made it to your Best XI? Let us know your Best XI in the comments below.
