Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir took a cheeky dig at Pakistan’s fast bowling unit in the ongoing ODI World Cup campaign while praising the Indian fast bowling attack after the Indian team’s emphatic win over Sri Lanka. The Men In Blue bowled out the Lankan team for 55 runs in the game to register a historic 302-run victory.

Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah demonstrated that India had the best bowling attack in the World Cup 2023 after they combined to bowl Sri Lanka out for 55 runs. At the Wankhede, the Indian fast-bowling trio worked together to create quite a stir with the new ball, to finish off things quickly for the Indian team.

India’s 2023 World Cup pacers have been a sight to behold, producing some brilliant fast bowling consistently against formidable opponents. Jasprit Bumrah has provided them with the early bursts of energy, while Mohammed Shami has been excellent since warming the bench in their first four games and Mohammed Siraj came back to form with a scorching opening burst against Sri Lanka in Mumbai.

While praising the Indian attack, Mohammad Amir poked fun at Pakistan’s bowling attack in the marquee event. Earlier, Hasan Ali addressed Pakistan’s declining bowling attack at the 2023 World Cup, saying that the world did not view their bowlers as the “best in the world,” but rather the team itself.

Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah produced an amazing outswinger to start Sri Lanka’s chase to dismiss Pathum Nissanka. He was the first player from India to take a wicket in a World Cup match with the first ball of the innings followed by Mohammed Siraj dismissing Dimuth Karunaratne in the first ball of the second overs and run through the Sri Lanka top order batters.

Mohammed Shami was the first-change bowler, so the Sri Lankan batsmen had no break. In his opening over, he claimed two wickets and narrowly missed a hat-trick. In just five overs, he amassed figures of 5 for 18, including a maiden. Weeks after being bowled out for fifty by India in the Asia Cup final, Sri Lanka achieved a mere fifty-five runs in just 19.4 overs.

Indian pacers Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah were exceptional with the ball since they played together in the ongoing mega event. Riding on their exceptional display, India successfully dominated against the Sri Lankan side, with their batters showing no resistance to the Indian bowlers.

The Men in Blue pace attack can run through any batting attack in the home conditions, with their skillset to bowl with both new ball and old ball making a huge difference for the team in the bowling innings and they would be keen to continue their fine form going into crucial face of the World Cup.
