The Big Test Series is about to start and the onus is on noth the teams as India had a very poor overseas record in recent times and England haven’t won a single test since last ashes at home. Both teams want to improve their records and boost their confidence before the World Cup.This time there are No big names in the Indian squad and England has also some new lads. He used to be a defensive batsman at the start and later tried to accelerate the score. He scored over 800 runs At England and most of them came from the 1978 series.

5. Sourav Ganguly : A gem ofca batsman and a great leader, Sourav will be remembered for hia exceptional debut at England scoring back to back test centuries. His 136 was a classic example of an upcoming legend. He also was a legendary captain but managed to draw the 2001 tour in England. He was also the part of 2007 squad which one the test series after 32 years.

4.Dilip Vengsarkar : A reliable batsmen at the middle order who played an anchor with Gavaskar for many matcjes for India. His 157 was a match saving innings that earned his lots of succes in future tours. He scored over 6000 runs in test matches and most of them came against England and Australia.

3. Sunil Gavaskar : The best Indian opener of that era and probably best opener of all time for India . He stood firm between Win and England in most of the matches. Taking his wicket early means pocketing half of the match forvthe opponents. His tiring 221 will remain one of the best innigs played on English soil ever.

2. Rahul Dravid : Probably the best technically perfect cricketer the game have ever seen. He was specially perfect against the mighty English bowlers. He made debut with Sourav Ganguly and went on to make a magnificent 95 in his debut innings. He later scored heavily on every tour to England and was the Man of the Series for the Indian side in 2007 series which India lost badly. He scored a ton in last test too.

Sachin Tendulkar : The best cricketer to have played the game, he wad usual to score tons of runs against England like othe nations.Master of the game,his highness will be remembered in his innings of 193 when he smashed all the bowlers and India eventually won the match. He averages over 50 against England as well.
