Bray Wyatt Movies and TV Shows

Wyatt never worked in any movies or television series outside of WWE. He mostly played dark characters in WWE and such characters never suited appearances outside of WWE. We all know how much WWE values their kayfabe.

Bray Wyatt Wife

Wyatt was married to former WWE ring announcer Jojo Offerman. She signed a professional contract with WWE in 2013, she worked on the development territories and on the main roster as well. She was under contract with WWE until 2021 and she Departed from the promotion quietly after that. Wyatt and Jojo had two children together.

The Fiend, Departure, and Return

Rise of The Fiend

In 2019, WWE repackaged him as The Fiend. It was an iconic gimmick and he played it excellently. Once again, his main event status was restored and he became the biggest name in WWE. His character was excellently booked and the fans loved this new character. The Fiend will always be remembered as one of the scariest characters in WWE history.

Disaster with Seth Rollins Inside Hell in a Cell

But the early stage of the Fiend character did not go too well as he was present in one of the worst matches of 2019 along with Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell inside Hell in a Cell. It was the only match in Hell in a Cell history that went into disqualification. But thankfully, this match did not damage his career as such and WWE rectified their mistake soon after the event.

Universal Champion

At the Crown Jewel event of 2019, Wyatt finally defeated Seth Rollins to capture the WWE Universal Championship. He had been an excellent champion and the fans were waiting to see him defending the Championship at WrestleMania 36. He was one of the best characters that WWE developed in recent years.

But once again WWE made a mistake when they decided to give the WWE Universal Championship to Goldberg just before WrestleMania 36. Goldberg completely buried Wyatt just before the Grandest Stage of them all and the decision was massively criticized. Both Goldberg and WWE had to deal with a lot of criticism for this decision. It is reported that WWE did not think Wyatt would be a big deal as the Universal Champion at WrestleMania 36.

Departure

In the SummerSlam 2020 event, Wyatt won the Universal Championship once again by defeating Braun Strowman. But lost the Championship in only eight days’ time to Roman Reigns. After this defeat, he lost his main event push. He started a feud with Randy Orton which he ultimately lost. In 2021 WWE shocked the entire world when they released him.

Return with New Character

WWE brought him back after Triple H became in charge of the creative team of the promotion in 2022. He was given a completely new character with an alter ego called Uncle Howdy. The fans had a lot of expectations from this new character but ultimately it was a critical failure. It was active for nearly six months and in these 6 months time, he had only one televised match.

Time out, Death

Before WrestleMania 39, he went out of television. He was scheduled to face Bobby Lashley at the event but he never returned. They are had been multiple news of his potential return but he could never make it back since he was not physically well enough to make the sensational return. In August, the wrestling world finally got the unfortunate news that the format three times WWE World Champion Bray Wyatt was no more.

Iconic Quotes From Bray Wyatt

“There are times where fans don’t understand that change is inevitable or that changes are done too fast. They say, ‘We like the way you used to be.’ Or they say, ‘We liked what you did then.’ You can’t stay the same. As you mature as an adult, you find out you have to keep changing in this business. It’s something The Undertaker laid on me.”

“When I say things, when I speak on television, I’m not making stuff up. I’m not, like, sitting in the back with a notepad thinking, ‘Maybe this will make them think I’m crazy’. That’s how I really am, you know? My views on this and that, which I really don’t want to delve into, but my views are that of the real me. There is no character.”

“I don’t need anyone creatively to tell me how I’m supposed to be. Only I know the answer to that. Only I know what I would say. That’s always been my outlook. I haven’t really worried about rubbing people wrong because I only know how to be Bray. And Bray is always going to be Bray.”

“I personally don’t like to diet. I think it’s stupid. You only live once. I do like to train just because of the simple reason that it doesn’t hurt as much. I need to keep myself strong as I can be. That’s just who I am as a man, and I think a lot of people have the same idea.”

“I have to sit alone in a room and be alone with my own thoughts. It always starts with an idea, and once the idea grows, I have a concept of what I want to say, and once I go out there and start feeling the energy, that concept grows and becomes whatever it is.”

“Vince McMahon is not a human being. They don’t make people like Vince. Vince is Vince. I can’t even describe to you what it’s like being in a room with Vince McMahon. He is above man. That’s the best way I can put it. Like-minded people take over the world, so I’ve always had a great rapport with him.”

“I don’t like to think of myself as just a person. I don’t think I am. I think I existed before, and I think I’ll exist again after I die here, so I don’t exactly know what I am. I don’t think there is ever going to be an answer. I just know that I’m not like you.”
