WWE News: Vince McMahon Wishes John Cena On Birthday, Twitter Reacts 1

This April 23rd marked the 40th birthday of WWE’s poster boy, John Cena. Last evening millions of wished came on his social media handles including one of the company’s boss. Since this man is the best player of the company, Vince McMahon took the time to wish him personally.

John Cena debuted in the WWE in the year 2002. Even prior to that, he spent a few years in the developmental territory of the company. So, he has given more than 15 years of his life, here. For the better part of last and this decade, he remained a true flag-bearer of the company. So, it was not a surprise to see McMahon wishing him.

But, twitter world did not forget to notice that Vince said that John is the Baby Ruth of the company. So, they did not take much time to let their opinions know by replying to the post. Many of them suggested that it should have been Hulk Hogan instead of the 16-time world champion.

Now, there is a reason why Vince McMahon took him up to a sports legend’s status. From the very beginning, John Cena was a money-maker for the promotion. People love him or hate him but every time Cena shows up they go on their feet reacting to it. Nobody in this generation might have been able to do this making him a “golden goose.”

Furthermore, even at this year’s Wrestlemania, the segment of him proposing to Nikki Bella on live television was the most talked segment on the evening. This earned WWE much needed mainstream media attention.

Lastly, when it comes to earning the respect, nobody does it better than Mr Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect. Even on his birthday evening, he posted a video of his gym session indicating how he is bound with his #earntheday motto.
