It will be fair to say that Alberto Del Rio always wants to be in the spotlight with controversial activities. Ever since he left the WWE, he’s been spending quality times with his soon-to-be wife, Paige. Also, he is enjoying his stint as an independent wrestler.
He has the freedom to take shots after shots at his former bosses, Vince McMahon and Triple H. He was seen doing the exact same thing for the past several weeks to stay on the news headlines. This, once again proves, why he is being addressed as the ‘bad boy’.
The former WWE champion has been through a series of incidents ever since he was taken off from WWE TV. He failed a couple of drug tests leading to his release from the company. Later, he has been in at least a couple of brawls at the public places over her fiancée, Paige.
The latest for Del Rio was some internet videos where he was directly taking shots at the WWE who treated him badly. On Sunday, there was another addition to his list of misdeeds.
The Mexican Aristocrat was scheduled to perform at an independent wrestling circuit event hosted by the What Culture Pro Wrestling. But, he did not show up, at all. The event organisers tried to cover up the things stating that he is ill. But, that might not be the real case.

As reported by Cagesideseats.com, Del Rio was spotted in a drunken state, the night before the scheduled event. He even posted a picture of him and Paige making a toast the previous night which suggested the legitimacy of the reports.

The official twitter handle of the WCPW promotion let the fans know that Del Rio would not be able to attend the show. The fans, however, came to know the real fact with Del Rio posting the above picture on his account.
On the same post, he poked fun to the fans by calling them as ‘marks’. Quite evidently, the whole matter was not taken well by the wrestling fans.
