About the Campaign of Oppo for ICC Champions Trophy 2017:
Electronics manufacturer Oppo, celebrating its partnership with BCCI as team India’s official jersey sponsors, have decided to launch a campaign in partnership with various sports websites and bloggers across India to cover India v Pakistan (June 4, 2017) and the finals of ICC Champions Trophy (June 18, 2017) in the UK.
The campaign consists of a fully sponsored trip to England & Wales for the reporters of websites and individual bloggers as well.

Earlier on 4th May, OPPO also revealed the Team India jersey in the presence of OPPO India President and BCCI CEO Rahul Johri. The brand has always focused on cricket as a platform in its endeavour to connect with the consumers especially the youth. While it is the official partner of ICC starting 2016, it has strengthened the relationship further with the sport by associating with BCCI and becoming the official sponsor of Team India.
“Cricket is a sport full of vigour and passion enjoyed by the youth of India. We believe that we share the same passion and spirit of pursuit of perfection as cricket that makes this association a perfect fit.” Said Mr Sky Li, OPPO’s Global Vice President and President of OPPO India.
“By partnering with the team, OPPO will not only further enhance its connection with the young consumers, but also engage with the country’s youth in its endeavour of providing them with the outstanding selfie-led photography experience.” He added.
On the other hand, speaking on the partnership, Mr Rahul Johri, CEO-BCCI said,
“We are excited to have OPPO join the BCCI family. OPPO Mobiles is pursuing perfect photography technology and it shares a common vision with BCCI. I am confident that we will work together to further grow Indian cricket!”
Meanwhile, Oppo, the mobile manufacturing company private limited on Thursday, had unveiled the New Jersey at a grand event in Mumbai’s J.W. Marriott Sahar hotel, for defending Champions Trophy winners India, which in a nutshell gives self-belief when players don the pride for the country that has massive fan-base for the gentleman’s game.
The Oppo logo inscribed on the jersey will be featured in the upcoming Champions Trophy which is scheduled from June 1 in England and Wales.
As the pictures of cricketers were displayed on the giant screen before the New Jersey was launched, the smartphone manufacturers, at its lavish event has further shown how the brand is teaming up with gentleman’s game — to take it to a new high, in a cricket crazy nation like India.
Marketing Head of Oppo India Mr Wang, who is also fond of cricket, revealed he is also playing cricket in his leisure time before starting, the cricket has played a significant role in his life, particularly in India.
“Cricket is so popular in India. It has encouraged millions of youngsters and has united the country (India),” Wang added.
Titled as ‘Cheer for India, Cheer for Cricket’ the jersey was unveiled as the Oppo officials were excited over the launch of the new phone and much-awaited kit which cricket fans are highly likely going to witness in the upcoming Champions Trophy, when India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan on June 4 in Edgbaston.
“We are very proud of the partnership with Team India while sponsoring it,” Wang concluded.
CEO of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rahul Johri has shown satisfaction at the event by thanking its team partner Oppo for sponsoring the India’s New Jersey for another five years, whose tenure will end on March 31st, 2022.
“We are really happy to be here on behalf of the entire family of the BCCI. I welcome everybody at Oppo to the cricket family. The Indian cricket team as you know today is the Number One (in ICC Ranking) in the world,” Johri said at the launch of new Jersey.
