In the month of April, it was revealed that WWE is going to host a PPV with a brand new name or they are going to take back one of the PPVs from the Attitude Era. The said PPV was put in the slot of July as part of a Raw-exclusive PPV. The speculations had started suggesting that the Bad Blood PPV is returning to the PPV schedule.
On April 28th, the exact name of the PPV was revealed via a tweet. The official twitter handle of the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas unveiled the event to be named as the Great Balls of Fire. It will take place at the venue on July 9th.
The Social media could not contain the humour of the name and started to make fun of it. Not only the fans but also the superstars from the Smackdown brand took a shot at the Raw roster saying that the feel a sigh of relief considering that they will not have to compete in a PPV with such a horrible name.

Ever since then, WWE is dealing with a huge problem around it. Despite all the backlashes the name Great Balls of Fire was retained. But when it comes to deciding the official logo for the event, the company is still struggling to make an official one.
Till date, three different logos were unveiled by them. The First one of them was revealed during the first advertisement for the PPV which is supposed to be a similar art from their previous WWF days.
The second one (used in the featured image) was shown during the Extreme Rules PPV while advertising the next big event from Monday Night Raw. Despite being a modern day design, this one received negative comments since it resembles non-PG elements.

When it comes to any violent products on the current PG era, WWE is extremely strict. They do not intend to use any non-PG gimmicks keeping in mind the young audience. So, starting from this week’s Raw, they used a completely new logo for the event.
It’s a mix of the old and new logo and a simple one. With the marketing campaign for the PPV being already begun, this might the final official logo for the Raw-exclusive PPV.
