Earlier, we expected to see WWE Superstar Emma finally getting the deserved push on the roster. In case you don’t know, she is the first female superstar from Australia to get signed by the WWE. She was an incredible talent back in the NXT days. It was her alongside Paige who started to put on great matches from the female division that we got used to seeing, nowadays.
From that sense, it was her who started the Divas Revolution aka Women’s Evolution. She used this gimmick for the past few months and also helped the welcoming match of Asuka on the main roster. It turned out to be a pretty good match at the TLC PPV that continued even on last week’s WWE Raw.
So, there were no hints at all about Emma getting excluded from the main roster. It was all of a sudden when WWE posted the message of Emma getting released from her contract in the company. So, going forward, she will no more be considered as a WWE superstar.

According to many, she was a big talent who was not used to her full potential. Upon coming to the roster, her contemporaries like Paige got shots to the championship, directly, whereas, she was involved in a fun angle with Santino Marella that took her nowhere.
Her poor luck continued with the much anticipated Emmalina gimmick getting cancelled, last year. It raised expectations for her which was shot down by the creative team. Some do think that this departure will make Emma more relevant, as she would earn more fame by performing in the indie scene.

Alongside Emma, Darren Young was also released from the WWE contract, last night. In case you don’t know, he is a former tag team champion in the company with Titus O’Neil. For his determination to in-ring competition, his nickname is “Mr No Days Off”.
At one point, WWE included veteran Bob Backlund, as his manager to give his career, a big boost. However, that did not help him, at all, as he suffered an injury down the road. It sidelined him from in-ring action since last year. At this point, he will be looking to perform in the indie scenes once the 90-days no-competition clause gets lifted.
