WWE News: Update on Whether Any Title Change Will Happen Before Survivor Series 1

The Survivor Series PPV is scheduled to take place on November 19th. From last year, WWE has started to host this particular event based on a brand vs brand rivalry. Hence, almost each of the matches will be cross-brand ones with both Raw and Smackdown getting involved. Till date, six matches have been confirmed.

Out of them, two will be traditional 5-on-5 tag team matches featuring the men and women, whereas, the rest of the four matches will be the champion vs champion matches which is as follows:

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar Vs WWE Champion Jinder Mahal

Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss Vs SmackDown Women’s Champion Natalya

Intercontinental Champion The Miz Vs United States Champion Baron Corbin

Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose Vs Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos

Quite interestingly, these matches have been announced for almost one month remaining from the exact date of the PPV. This is quite surprising since each of the champions has to defend their championship within 30 days. This announcement might have confirmed that there will not be any title change until the dual brand PPV gets over.

Also, there are some unlikely matches with heel vs heel scenario which is why some fans thought that there should be a title change. The Women’s match featuring Bliss-Natalya and The Miz-Baron Corbin is quite unusual and less appealing. Hence, some of the fans do expect a title change.

Cagesideseats.com does not think that way, as it reported that the matches that have been confirmed, already will remain intact. It confirmed that no championships will change hands from now to Survivor Series PPV. It also indicated that there would be less number of title matches until then. Rather, we would see more of the brand rivalries.

There’s still a long way to go before we head to the dual brand PPV. With these kinds of random matches announced for the night, the hype up might remain extremely low when we reach the event in the third week of November. Title matches always remain exciting for the fans. To cut that from weekly shows might hamper the programming.
