WWE Survivor Series 2017 Results: Men’s Traditional Tag Team Match 1

Considering that this year marked the 30th annual edition of Survivor Series PPV, WWE officials built up the lineups for the traditional tag team elimination match, big time. Many have considered the star-studded lineup as the biggest one in the history of the PPV event.

Team Smackdown was led by the commissioner, Shane McMahon with names like Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode and John Cena behind him. On Team Raw, Kurt Angle was chosen the team captain with Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman and Triple H representing the brand.

We should also note that Kurt Angle’s job was on the line as clarified by Stephanie McMahon. If the commissioner fails to lead team Red to victory, then a new GM was supposed to be chosen. Plus, with the invasion angles taking place on both the brands, the bad blood between the two sides was an all-time high.

Team Red made their way first with Kurt Angle coming out at the very beginning followed with Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, and Triple H. Smackdown hit the ring, as well with Shane McMahon leading the way as Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura coming down to the ring. It was a surreal scene with all the superstars standing on the same ring.

The match started with Braun Strowman throwing Shane Mcmahon all the way to the other side of the ring. We witnessed some incredible scenes, as Randy Orton went against Samoa Joe, Nakamura had a confrontation against Finn Balor and Triple H shared the ring with Bobby Roode.

Braun Strowman was quick to eliminate Shinsuke Nakamura and Boby Roode to give it a 5-on-3 advantage for Team Raw. But, John Cena delivered an AA on Samoa Joe to remove him. But, things got tougher for John Cena, as one Coup De Grace from Balor followed up with two Angle Slams from Kurt Angle eliminated John Cena, quickly.

Randy Orton delivered an RKO to Finn Balor to eliminate him from the contest. Shane McMahon suffered a vicious attack from Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to be taken out of the Survivor Series matchup. The commissioner remained as the only hope for Team Blue, as the monster Among Men took out Randy Orton, as well.

But, things went twisted at the end of the matchup as Triple H hit a pedigree on Kurt Angle who was in an offensive mode towards Shane Mcmahon. The Game wanted to finish off the contest by himself and hit another pedigree on Shane to seal the deal for WWE Raw. Team Red stood tall against Smackdown by the virtue of this win.

Braun Strowman was not happy with The Game crossing his line and taking the pinfall by himself and hence, he hit Triple H with a running powerslam that received a big cheer from the crowd to end the show.
