Samoa Joe is always considered to be one of the huge names of the WWE Raw roster ever since his debut back at last year. He was given the role of a reckless force who did not dare to stand toe-to-toe against the beast incarnate himself, Brock Lesnar. This also earned him a championship opportunity after Wrestlemania 34.

However, since then, the concussion problems did not allow him to get a promotion on the roster or pick up any titles. Back in the summer, he suffered an injury in a match against John Cena that kept him out of action for several weeks.

After coming back, he picked up yet another injury just after 2018 began owing to which he had to be sidelined, yet again.

Due to this, the Samoan Submission Machine missed the Royal Rumble PPV despite the creative team considering him in a big feud against John Cena. He was also taken out of the Mixed Match Challenge where Bayley was supposed to be his partner.

This time around, an ankle injury did not allow him to wrestle just at a time when the Wrestlemania season starts to pick up.

This is not a good thing for a superstar since missing Wrestlemania is definitely not what a superstar would expect in his career.

No potential timeline of his comeback was available on his comeback until Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter spoke on the return of Samoa Joe in recent times.

According to him, the former NXT Champion is all set to make his presence felt from mid-March onwards. This means that he will be back in time for Wrestlemania.

So, he might not have to miss out the grandest stage of them all, for two consecutive years. Last year, he was kept out of the equation due to lack planning around him.

The hints of the same were also given in the latest advertisements for the Raw-exclusive live events.

Several of these house shows have now included him into the card which is a good indication that this bonafide heel on the roster will be back to work in Wrestlemania 34, for sure.

It looks like the Destroyer will be back earlier than expected within just 5 weeks of absence with a target in his mind which will clarify his Wrestlemania opponent.
