Ronda Rousey was scheduled to appear on the last episode of WWE Raw from Detroit, Michigan.
But, the fans were disappointed that they had to contend with just a vignette featuring the former UFC superstar. It was quite surprising to see this since she was actually advertised for the show, all the way.
The absence came at the very last moment that made the fans irate. If the recent reports are to be believed, then we are not going to see a glimpse of her until the pre-Wrestlemania episode of the flagship show that will take place on April 2nd.
This news might not help the WWE programming which already lacks star power needed to build up the biggest event of the year.
Previously, WWE.com published a story that confirmed that Ronda Rousey would appear on each episode of Monday Night Raw leading up to Wrestlemania. It was an official announcement which sounded positive about the newest roster member’s career. The fans would much appreciate a full-time role in the company.
A recent report was published on the same topic that suggested this particular article was published on WWE’s official website, without the authority’s final approval. Hence, this downplayed the arrival of the mainstream superstar into the company. These are further updates stated by SportsKeeda.com,
“According to a report from POST Wrestling, a source in the WWE informed them that the article published on the WWE website wasn’t approved by the officials and went up without the final go-ahead.
With Brock Lesnar currently involved in a ‘no-show’ angle himself, WWE had concerns about Rousey also adopting a similar storyline but eventually chose to keep her off the television.”
So, this angle was not portrayed as a storyline by the company. Two similar angles for previous UFC superstars at the same time would definitely not be a good thing on WWE TV. So, she would miss the upcoming shows from Dallas and Ohio. The only episode that she will be seen is final episode of Raw before WrestleMania on April 2nd.
Then, at Wrestlemania, Ronda Rousey will team up with Kurt Angle to take on the team of Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
