Last night, we witnessed another packed edition of Smackdown Live from the lively crowd in Montreal, Canada. They gave a huge pop to the host of the Miz TV.
Quite interestingly, they wanted to see Maryse. We hope that the French beauty will soon rejoin her husband now that she gave birth to her child. There were loud pops for Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy, too.
Awesome tag team match tonight, I’m loving Randy Orton evolving his offense in the last year to include that release back suplex spot on the announce table, Orton had the Montreal crowd SUPER fired up tonight, one of his biggest reactions on TV in a long time #SDLive

But, Shelton Benjamin still failed to earn some reactions from the crowd. The opening match was quite entertaining with Orton delighting the Smackdown crowd.
While delivering the double-DDT on Miz and Benjamin, he won the crowd. The match was finished with his pendant RKO move.
Furthermore, a bold statement was made when he connected with another RKO on his Backlash opponent, Hardy.
They went with the cheap midget heat with Big Cass tonight, Cass is definitely more comfortable on the mic, enjoying the feud with Daniel Bryan so far #SDLive

The match between Sheamus and Xavier Woods was a fun match with the crowd always behind it.
The altercations between the other members of their respective teams made the contest even more entertaining. This fun feud is expected to be continued in the near future.
Big Cass was seen garnering the heat upon himself by beating out the midget who was dressed as Daniel Bryan. It’s good to see the young man getting the spotlight.
The Shinsuke Nakamura low blow out of no where is still really fun, Nakamura has really embraced this new heel turn exceptionally well since #WrestleMania, also that Samoa Joe tease with AJ Styles = ? #SDLive

The crowd loved that segment between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. They really hope to get the verbal confrontation turn into a physical fight, at one point.
But, then again, Nakamura was waiting to deliver the low blow on Styles which has now become a routine.
It is expected that he will win the championship via this move on Sunday to make it more significant.
Awesome six woman main event, Montreal crowd got super loud with the Charlotte moonsault and Asuka forcing Peyton Royce to tap out, good call to have the ladies close the show tonight #SDLive
— Wrestleview.com (@wrestleview) May 2, 2018
Smackdown Live received a tremendous six-woman tag match who tore the house sown. It was good decision to have the ladies close the show.
The focus was on the babyface names who were searching for the spotlight to be on them.
The audience went nuts once Charlotte delivered that moonsault off the top rope. Plus, the show came to an end with a loud pop for Asuka as he forced Peyton to tap out.
Overall, this was a pretty fun episode from the blue brand tonight, it’s pretty clear that Montreal is just flat out a great audience for television tapings and they should make it a goal to return once a year, some decent build to #WWEBacklash on Sunday as well #SDLive

Overall, it was a far better episode from WWE Raw, once again. Check out the Twitter reactions from this week’s Smackdown Live,
Attendance down a bit from last night, but still a packed house for the blue brand tonight in Montreal #SDLive pic.twitter.com/I7jDiT4v0l

Live note from Montreal for #SDLive: The Miz, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton all with big pops. Shelton Benjamin… crickets. No reaction at all. In any case, Orton was visibly laughing when The Miz told him “9th place doesn’t even buy you a medal”. pic.twitter.com/B5cCa5Vaf5
