WWE News: WWE Open Partnership Programming With Rival Brands 1

It is quite surprising to see WWE mentioning names of NJPW superstars on their contents. They have always maintained distance with the other rival pro-wrestling companies.

Vince McMahon had propaganda of taking each of them much seriously. It is why we never saw any association between them.

However, the time is changing. That time is gone when WWE used to have the one and the only relevant pro-wrestling company of the world. Sometimes the fans do think that products of NJPW or ROH are much better than that of the flagship program of WWE.

These rivals already have a collaboration to come up with interesting contents. WWE too is heading in the same way in recent times. We mentioned earlier they are mentioning NJPW superstars name on the official website.

Kenny Omega and Young Bucks took part in a video game showdown against the New Day recently. WWE promoted this E3 showdown throughout. They have also released some earlier memories of NJPE star Omega on the WWE Network after the fight was over.

It is quite unbelievable considering this is an exclusive platform for WWE superstars only. Wrestling Observer Newsletter has come up with an update regarding this. They stated WWE officials are quite high on some of the NJPW stars. They do want to sign them in the future.

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are the current favourites to come to the WWE. However, no timeline is available when that might happen. All three of them are under contract with NJPW and ROH. So there’s no way to see them on WWE programming in quick times.

Plus Triple H also noted on a potential association between WWE and NJPW. If the business perspective is right, then we can see a co-branded event in the future. Here are his comments from an interview with SunSport, (courtesy The 434 Facebook page),

“We’ve seen so many unthinkable things happen in wrestling over the last few years, so why not a working relationship with NJPW? Is there an opportunity for cross-promotional events? Absolutely with the right things. It’s a blank slate, and I’m open to just about anything if the right situation shows itself.”
