Triple H converted into the role of a backstage official, for a long time. He is the cornerstone of the NXT brand. Plus, he also pulls the plug for televised products for Raw and Smackdown. Vince McMahon does not attend the shows on a regular basis, nowadays. So The Game had to fill up the shoes for him spreading his wings on TV programming.
Recently, Triple H returned to action for a couple of matches in WWE PPVs. In the first match, he defeated the Undertaker at Super Show Down. This, in turn, set up the next match at WWE Crown Jewel where D-Generation X reunited. They took on against The Brothers of Destruction in a first-time ever tag team match.
We could barely expect to see this match featuring the four legends. Eventually, Triple H and Shawn Michaels managed to defeat The Undertaker and Kane. But the night ended on a bad note for the COO of the WWE. He tore his right arm’s pectoral muscle during the match. This landed him into the surgery desk that was mandatory.
He needed an immediate repair to the arm and had gone through it under the supervision of Dr. Jeffery Duggas. The operation was successful as the rehab process has also started. But it will take a long time to get the heals wounded. Current assumptions suggest that Triple H will stay out of action for more than six months that exceeds Wrestlemania 35.
It is almost certain that The Cerebral Assassin will have to miss Wrestlemania 35 for the injury. A big match was waiting for him on the show as per the current updates. Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Triple H vs. Batista was indeed in the works for the biggest event of the year. It would have been a marquee match to sell out the show.
But the chances of seeing the match is absolutely zero at this point. Batista wanted to be this one as the farewell match of his career. But Triple H’s arms would not get back full forces by that time. Six months seem mandatory to recover the issue, fully. John Cena previously tore his pectoral muscle and returned within the estimated recovery time.
But John Cena has always been an exception. For most of his injuries, he was able to make a quick comeback proving his nickname of Super Cena to be perfect. But Triple H always had a normal recovery time period. Hence, missing the next edition of Wrestlemania seems inevitable for him. Batista might have to work in an alternative angle in that case.
