Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) led by Dinesh Karthik has named the replacements for the injured fast-bowling duo; Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi on Sunday (March 17). The Kolkata-based domestic professional league side has signed Karnataka-bound spin bowler KC Cariappa and Sandeep Warrier, a fast bowler from Kerala.
The duo has done exceedingly well in the domestic set-up before grabbing eyeballs for the lucrative T20 league.

Pertinently, in the eleventh of IPL, Nagarkoti has missed out the previous season while nursing a foot injury. However, this time around he is suffering from a back injury and the amount of injury is yet to be ascertained.
Also, Mavi, who has played alongside Nagarkoti in the Under-19 World Cup for India in New Zealand in 2018, has impressed many while bowling at sheer pace.
Mavi is struggling after suffering from a lower back stress fracture which has subsequently put an end to his IPL hopes for the IPL 2019 season.
In the recently-held Syed Mushtaq Ali Twenty20 Trophy, the 27-year-old pacer Warrier has bagged eight wickets. Interestingly, it included a hat-trick while facing Andhra Pradesh.
In the past, the promising bowler Warrier has represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He has impressed one and all with his bowling during Vijay Hazare Trophy. For Kerala, Warrier has bagged 12 scalps to become the highest wicket-taker for his side.

The star young leg-spinner in Cariappa has bagged eight wickets for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) while featuring in 10 games. He recently played a spectacular role for Karnataka. Cariappa has helped his side on winning their maiden Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019.
The exciting prospect has snared 10 wickets with an impressive bowling average of 20.60. It has further made his IPL road smooth before being a call-up for the trials in Kolkata.
The IPL 2019 is scheduled to kick-off on March 23 in Chennai. Thus, KKR will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on March 24. The side would be relying on youth and experience to eye for the title. KKR has finished third on the points table, last year.
