Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced their seventh defeat in the ongoing IPL season after the home team Mumbai Indians (MI) beat them by five wickets (with six balls remaining) at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) on Monday (15th April) night.

The home captain Rohit Sharma decided to field first after winning the toss. With the help of AB de Villiers (75) and Moeen Ali’s (50) half-centuries, the visiting side managed to score 171/7 (20 overs) in the first innings.

In reply, the home team successfully chased down that target in 19 overs after losing five wickets.
