Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni made a comeback into the playing XI after recuperating from illness. Dhoni was on fire once again not only in front of the stumps but also behind the stumps. The master got rid of the bails in a jiffy and Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer was left short of his ground.
In fact, it is well known that MS Dhoni can remove the bails faster than a wink of an eye. The talisman was at his best once again as he helped Chennai Super Kings win by a gargantuan margin of 80 runs against Delhi Capitals.

On the other hand, Dhoni also scored a fine knock of 44 runs from 22 balls with the help of four fours and three maximums to give the finishing touches to the team’s innings.
Dhoni took his time in the initial phase and then changed gears like a superfast car. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings posted an above par score of 179 runs after Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first.
In fact, the defending champions got off to a slow start. However, Suresh Raina provided the impetus as he was able to hit the ground running. The southpaw batsman looked at his best as he brought his second fifty of the season and also his 37th IPL fifty.
The left-hander scored a fine knock of 59 runs off just 37 balls. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals kept losing wickets at regular intervals to find themselves behind the eighth-ball. Shreyas Iyer top scored with 44 runs for the visitors. However, the Delhi Capitals skipper could not get help from the other end.
Imran Tahir scalped four wickets and troubled the visitors’ batsmen. Furthermore, Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets in his spell.
