Following sweating over David Warner‘s fitness, Australia has finally received a heaved a sigh of relief as David Warner has been declared fit for their opener against Afghanistan at the Bristol County Ground on June 1st.

Earlier, Warner has pulled off from the training session in Bristol after complaining about issues in his right leg. However, the team physio and medical team have treated Warner indoors after suffering a stiff glute muscle.

So much so, it further pushed head coach Justin Langer to brief the media regarding Warner’s injury.

However, on the eve of the Kangaroos game against Afghanistan, the prominent top-order batsman has received a green signal to feature against no-more minnows.

Besides, the 32-year-old Warner is hungry to score runs after having a remarkable run in the Indian Premier League (IPL). For Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Warner has finished as the highest run-getter (692) in the tournament.

Following 12-month sanction over his involvement in the infamous ball-tampering saga, Warner has made amends at the earliest.

So, with 32-year-old southpaw has been cleared to feature in the first international game for Australia after over 13 months, all eyes will also be on Steven Smith.

In between, Warner has also featured in the Bangladesh Premier League (BBL). But he had pulled out of the season due to an elbow injury.

Warner, who has had faced wrath, however, won went on to win hearts of many by averaging 43.43 in 106 ODis.

Also, Warner is known for his explosive batting. He has accumulated a total of 4343 runs in 104 innings, so far since making his debut in 2009.

Furthermore, Warner has also been a part of the 2015 World Cup-winning team. Back then, they lifted their fifth overall title by thrashing their arch-rivals New Zealand at the MCG.

The stroke-maker further boasts about a good average in the ODI World Cup. In eight matches, Warner has amassed 345 runs at an average of 49.24.

Also, he also has brought up his highest ODI total of 178 during the mega ODI event. He is looking forward to give a blazing start to the Aussies in the third match of the World Cup.
