Former Indian captain and present Indian limited-overs wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni has celebrated his 38th birthday on Sunday (7th July) along with the national teammates and his wife and daughter. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared that video on their social media accounts and wished a happy birthday.

Indian national cricket team is currently busy in the ongoing 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in England and Wales. After the end of the round-robin stage of this tournament, India finished on top of the table. They will now play the first semi-final of this tournament against the fourth-positioned team New Zealand on 9th July at Old Trafford (Manchester).

If India win this semi-final, the two-time Cricket World Cup-champions India will play their fourth CWC final. In the final of this tournament (on 14th July at Lord’s, London), India can face the second semi-final winner (Australia vs England).

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni celebrated his 38th birthday along with the Indian team and his small family. Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni and daughter Ziva Dhoni were present in this celebration. The BCCI shared a video on this celebration where Dhoni was cutting a cake in front of his daughter.

MS Dhoni is serving the national team since December 2004. He is one of the most successful cricketers in international cricket history. Under his captaincy, India achieved many memorable successes in international cricket. Some of the top achievements were the 2007 ICC World T20 victory, 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup victory and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy victory etc.

Apart from a great captain, Dhoni is one of the greatest batsmen, who is hugely famous for his finishing role. He is also a brilliant wicketkeeper whose speedy services have amazed the world cricket.

In his international career, Dhoni has played 90 Tests, 349 ODIs and 98 T20Is. He is currently India’s fifth most run-scorer in international cricket.

While he retired from the Test cricket at the end of 2014, he is continuing his service in limited-overs cricket.
