WWE Raw is yet to get over with the hangout of last week’s reunion episode. It drew the highest rating for the year 2019 ensuring a huge success as we expect a decent follow-up, this week. With two weeks remaining from the biggest party of the summer, all the storylines will move forward to the 32nd edition of the Summerslam.

Is Vince McMahon Bringing Back Edgier Segments On TV?

Eyeing to that, the main event of WWE Raw is set for tonight where Seth Rollins battles Dolph Ziggler. Another solid matchup will take place on the show where WWE Raw women’s champion competes against Little Miss Bliss. Plus, WWE also confirmed a Samoan Summit for the show that takes place at the Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Trish Stratus Return Confirmed, Women’s Champion Wants Match Against Her

A fuelled main event is set for this week’s edition of WWE Raw where the Architect battles the Show-off. Below are the statements from the official website that confirmed this cross-brand matchup on the show,

“As Seth Rollins marches towards a fateful bout with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, he’ll square up with Dolph Ziggler following the latter’s attack on Shawn Michaels on SmackDown LIVE. Can Rollins show up The Showoff and continue his preparation? Or will Ziggler stop The Kingslayer in his tracks? Tune in to Raw, live on Monday at 8/7 C on USA Network to find out.”

This match came about in a position where Seth Rollins had to stand up while defending Shawn Michaels’ honor. Last Tuesday on Smackdown, Ziggler super-kicked HBK in a disrespectful manner and Rollins just could not hold it back. As he prepares to teach a lesson to heel Ziggler, he needs to be careful about a beast lurking in. As per local ads, Rollins’ Summerslam opponent Brock Lesnar will be on the show. So who knows whether he tries to be the spoilsport to what could be an assured victory to Rollins.

The other big match of the night will be absolutely a fresh-off contest. WWE Raw women’s champion Becky Lynch gets a warm-up match against Alexa Bliss as confirmed by WWE.com,

“The Wrap confirmed that Becky and Alexa will square up in a non-title match this Monday. It should be an opportunity for The Man to get some stress off her chest, but with Nikki Cross at Bliss’ flank and Natalya lurking in the wings, things might not stay one-on-one for long. Tune in to Raw, live this Monday at 8/7 C on USA Network, to see what happens next.”

It’s certain that Natalya and Nikki Cross will be lurking around the ring during this matchup, trying to influence the outcome. Chances are there that Alexa Bliss may get the win over the champion capitalizing on the distractions. This may allow Bliss to get into Summerslam match card in case she picks up the win. After all, WWE can’t afford to keep The Goddess away from a big event like Summerslam.

Another special attraction for tonight’s WWE Raw is going to be a verbal segment between two Samoan Superstars. WWE has booked Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe will feature in a Samoan Summit segment where they will apparently try to ‘squash their beef’ and find a way to move forward. But both of them are wild Samoans and you know what happens when their tempers get the best of them. A physical fight should go down setting up another Summerslam match between these two superstars.

Last week, The OC had a tough night on WWE Raw as they met legendary factions namely D-generation X and Kliq who kept the trio away from delivering a beatdown to Seth Rollins. Eventually, the current rival of AJ Styles, Ricochet was not present on the show owing to an elbow infection. Hopefully, tonight he makes the comeback as he too has a business to take care of against the OCs. We expect the US title match to be official between Styles and Ricochet at Summerslam.

Speaking of championships, we saw nine champions on one single night setting an all-time record. R-Truth was the one to escape with the newly own 24/7 Championship alongside Drake Maverick’s wife. We will see how Truth’s ride with Renee Michelle turned out to be. We’re pretty sure that Maverick will force Truth to run all over the arena in order to win back his baby. Will he be successful? We’ll find out when WWE Raw airs from Arkansas.
