Many believe that KL Rahul is one of the top talented cricketers. In the last few years, he is very consistent in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he finished one of the top three run-scorers in the last two seasons. However, he hasn’t maintained that consistency in his international career yet.

The right-batsman performed much better in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. In fact, he was enough consistent in that tournament as he scored 361 runs in nine innings with an average of 45.12. He hit one century and two half-centuries in that big prestigious event.

But he has failed to maintain that form in the recently concluded Caribbean tour. In that tour, he played one T20I at Providence and two Tests along with one three-day tour game.

He scored 20 runs in the T20I match, while scored 36 runs in the tour game. During the Test series, he scored 44, 38, 13 and 6 runs respectively.

Like many other cricket fans and experts, Wasim Jaffer has also felt disappointed with KL Rahul’s recent performances. Jaffer believes that Rahul has so much ability and that’s why he has already scored centuries in all three formats.

KL Rahul’s mode of dismissals make me a bit disappointed – Wasim Jaffer

Jaffer is feeling that Rahul’s recent mode of dismissals is very softly. He further added that Rahul was getting more and more chances due to his abilities.

Jaffer added, “And his mode of dismissals make me a bit disappointed because he gets out very softly at times. He has got a lot of ability and that is why he is getting so many chances, because people believe that he is going to come good.”

Wasim Jaffer is very surprised with KL Rahul’s consistently poor batting form in recent times.

Jaffer said, “The way he gets out and the way he does not get that many runs, that surprises me…I feel somewhere he is missing those puzzles (sic) in his jigsaw.”
