Former Divas roster member Emma has been with WWE for over five years who went through different gimmicks. Just when it looked like Emma aka Tenille Dashwood would get some momentums for the first time in her career, the company decided to release her in late 2017. It was one of the most shocking release incidents in the history of the company that took the IWC by storm.

Since then Emma has worked in the indies, with Ring of Honor promotion and more. Currently, she is with the Impact Wrestling female roster who is in try of upping her status with performance.
Why Lesnar vs. Velasquez was short?
In between, Emma found sometimes to catch up with Chris Van Vliet. She talked about the much-talked release from WWE during the conversation.
As per Emma, she was shocked by the news that WWE released her from the contract. Her condition was the same as the fans who were taken aback by the fact that WWE released an official statement to fire this bright talent of the Women’s Division. Basically, it was a phone call that ended everything going around her.

Emma also recalled that she was in a feud with Asuka, back then in which she performed well. Despite that, the company heads decided to move on from her, (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
“It was actually a really big shock for me; I had no idea. At the time, I was in a feud with Asuka and we had just done the PPV and that was her debut, her PPV debut, I think it was her actual debut as well. We had an awesome match, I remember everyone loved it and then we had a match on RAW the night after and then basically by the end of the week, I had a call saying I was released.”
Emma continued saying that she still does not know the exact reason why WWE had fired her, two years ago. From her insider sources, she came to know that Vince McMahon was not much happy about her. Not every official agreed with his opinion. But the fact that The Boss rejected her, no one else was able to retain her under this company’s banner.
“From what I heard it was just that… honestly, I don’t even know because I feel like there is more to it than what I was told and it was kind of a very brief conversation and not necessarily everyone agreed or whatever it was.
But basically I think the boss wasn’t happy with something and that was kind of it. I was very shocked because I literally was packed to go on the European tour. So a two-week tour overseas, had my bags packed, it was on a Sunday, I was on the way to the airport basically and got a call and was like ‘What?'”
For now, Emma has been enjoying her indie stint despite having a contract with the Impact Wrestling. It is reportedly an appearance-based schedule that the company handed her over, unlike the other full-time female wrestlers.
